Miami Set to Clash With UNCG in the Riley Decker Showcase Game

RILEY DECKER SHOWCASE GAME: Miami takes on UNC Greensboro on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. in a neutral site game at Edward Waters University in Jacksonville, Fla. The RedHawks enter this game ranking fifth in the country in effective field goal percentage (63.4%), sixth in free throw percentage (81.5%), sixth in scoring offense (95.8), seventh in field goal percentage (53.7%), seventh in scoring margin (28.4), and seventh in three-point percentage (44.6%).Â
ABOUT UNCG: UNCG is currently 1-5, as the Spartans most recently grabbed their first win of the season over Youngstown State (68-62) this past Sunday evening. UNCG went 20-12 (13-5 SoCon) last year. Head coach Mike Jones enters year five with the Spartans. Heading into the 2025-26 season, UNCG was selected to finish fifth overall in the SoCon Men's Basketball Preseason Poll.Â
Graduate student forward Justin Neely leads the Spartans in points per game (14.5/game), rebounds (11.8/game), assists (3.5/game) and steals (1.5/game). Senior forward Valentino Pinedo (1.0/game) and junior forward Domas Kauzonas (0.7/game) have led the team in blocks.
THE SERIES WITH THE SPARTANS: This Wednesday's neutral site contest against UNCG will be the first meeting between the programs.

Miami has started the season undefeated, with their most recent victory coming against Arkansas - Pine Bluff to improve to 5-0 for the first time since the 2021-22 season.
COLLEGIATE HOOPS ROAD SHOW: The Miami University men's basketball team edged past Mercyhurst 76-71 Thursday night and most recently rolled to a 111-84 victory over Arkansas - Pine Bluff Sunday afternoon at Millett Hall. Evan Ipsaro led the RedHawks with a career-high 20 points, while four other RedHawks added double digits in scoring in Sunday's contest against the Golden Lions. Â Almar Atlason, Brant Byers and Antwone Woolfolk were named to the 2025 Collegiate Hoops Roadshow All-Tournament Team, while Ipsaro was recognized as the MVP.
