Deputy Snags NCHC Rookie of the Week Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS-- The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced its Players of the Week presented by KJ Branding today, and Miami freshman forward David Deputy was named the National's Rookie of the Week.

Deputy had a strong series in a home split against St. Cloud State, earning Second Star of the Game on back-to-back nights. The Gurnee, Ill. native produced a goal and an assist in each game to give him a four-point series against the Huskies. Deputy's goals were the first two of his career. He was also credited with a career-high eight shots on goal Saturday night.

Deputy and the 8-4-0 RedHawks are back in action at the Friendship Four in Belfast, Northern Ireland beginning Friday, Nov. 28. Puck drop against RIT is set for 2 p.m. ET at SSE Arena Belfast.
