RedHawks Set to Host Arkansas - Pine Bluff Sunday Afternoon

SUNDAY: Miami continues home play at Millett Hall this Sunday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. versus the Arkansas - Pine Bluff Golden Lions. The RedHawks enter this game ranking seventh in the country in effective field goal percentage (63%), eighth in three-point percentage (43.9%), 11th in scoring margin (28.8), 16th in field goal percentage (53%), 24th in free throw percentage (79.3%) and 33rd in scoring defense (63.3). The Red and White will look to extend its home win streak to 19 in a row with a win over the Golden Lions on Sunday.
ABOUT ARKANSAS - PINE BLUFF: Arkansas - Pine Bluff is currently 0-7, as the Golden Lions have most recently dropped to Marshall (70-98) and SMU (60-106). Mercyhurst went 6-25 (3-15 SWAC) last year. Head coach Solomon Bozeman enters year five with the Golden Lions. Heading into the 2025-26 season, Arkansas - Pine Bluff was selected to finish 11th overall in the SWAC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll.Â
Offensively, senior forward Jaquan Scott (15.4) and senior guard Quion Williams (15.1) lead the Golden Lions in points per game. Williams has also averaged the most rebounds (6.6/game), assists (3.4/game) and steals (1.9/game). The Red and White shot 6-6 from the free-throw line in the final stretch to secure the victory. Almar Atlason led the RedHawks with 16 points, while four other RedHawks added double figures in scoring. Evan Ipsaro and Antwone Woolfolk each led the game in assists (four) as well. The Red and White shot 26-for-31 (83.9%) from the free-throw line.
COLLEGIATE HOOPS ROADSHOW: Sunday's game marks the third of four games in the Collegiate Hoops Roadshow, an event produced by Russ Potts Productions, Inc. The multi-team event features Arkansas - Pine Bluff, Marshall, Mercyhurst and Miami.
COLLEGE INSIDER PRESEASON MID-MAJOR TOP 25: The Miami University men's basketball team reached its highest ranking on the Mid-Major Top 25® Poll for the 2025-26 season, as Collegeinsider announced its new poll Monday evening, with the RedHawks ranked No. 5 overall. Miami has started the season 4-0, with their most recent victory coming against Mercyhurst to improve to 4-0 for the first time since the 2021-22 season.
LEAVING THEIR MARK: 11 different RedHawks made at least one three-pointer in a 129-49 win over the Trinity Christian Trolls to total 21 on the evening, the RedHawks' third-best shooting performance all-time in Miami program history. Miami also shot a blistering 70% from the three-point line (tied for the fifth-highest percentage in Miami history) and finished the game shooting 68.3% from the floor (third-highest percentage in Miami history).
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: With Miami's win over Mercyhurst, the Red and White extended its home win streak to 18 games. The RedHawks are looking to snap a Miami record of 23 straight home wins (1996-1998). Last season, the Red and White set a new record of 15 consecutive home wins over the course of one season.
