RedHawks Travel to Ohio for a Pair of Matches

THIS WEEKEND: The Red and White continue conference play with a pair of matches at Ohio. The first match of the weekend will take place on Friday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. and the second match will happen on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.Â
ABOUT OHIO: Ohio went 14-15 and held a 10-8 record in the MAC in 2024. The Bobcats are currently 3-14 after starting conference play 1-4, as they most recently took down Kent State in three sets. Ohio was chosen to finish seventh in the 2025 MAC Volleyball Coaches Poll.
Heading into this week's matches, Ohio has a few players who rank among the top of the MAC statistically. Kendall White ranks 10th in assists per set (5.94/set), while Madyson Long is fourth (0.47/set) and Bryn Janke is seventh (0.38) in service aces per set.Â
SERIES WITH THE BOBCATS: The Red and White are 53-44 all-time when taking on the Bobcats. Ohio is currently on a seven-match win streak versus Miami. The RedHawks last defeated the Bobcats 3-2 at home on March 13, 2021.
TELEVISION: Both Friday and Saturday's matches versus the Ohio Bobcats can be watched on ESPN+.

NUMBERS WATCH: Gentry Warrick is currently tied for fourth all-time in Miami history with 1.00 career blocks per set. She holds a total of 77 career solo blocks (sixth all-time in Miami history). Warrick also ranks third in the nation in total blocks (93) and 13th in blocks per set (1.50). Warrick currently leads the MAC in both total blocks and blocks per set. The Red and White stand at seventh in the country in team total blocks (166.5) as well. Senior Lindsay Kahren has 979 digs in her career heading into the weekend.
RECENT ACTION: The RedHawks are coming off a three-set loss to Ball State this past Tuesday evening. Senior Hayden Hicks reached 2,000 career assists in the match.
MAC DEFENSIVE POTW: Miami University volleyball senior libero/defensive specialist Lindsay Kahren was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week following her performances last week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Kahren totaled 37 digs (5.29 digs/set) and went 42-for-43 (.977) in serve receive over two matches against Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. On Thursday night, Kahren had 14 digs and one assist versus Western Michigan. In Friday night's three-set win against the Huskies, she recorded a match-high 23 digs and two assists.
CAN YOU DIG IT: Freshmen outside hitter Molly Creech and redshirt junior libero/defensive specialist Anna McClure each rank inside the top 10 for digs per set in the MAC. Entering this weekend, Creech holds the ninth spot (3.37 digs/set), and McClure stands at 10th (3.31/set) in digs per set.
FRESHMEN IMPACT: Freshmen Molly Creech, Lauren Coyne, Grace Kreutz and Lindy Radaszewski have seen significant action at the start of the 2025 season. Creech has recorded 2.36 kills per set (second on the team), 0.13 service aces per set (fifth on the team) and 3.27 digs per set (first on the team). Coyne has put down 2.25 kills per set (third on the team) and 0.83 blocks per set (second on the team). Radaszewski is fourth on the team with in service aces per set (0.17) and Kreutz ranks third in service aces per set (0.19).
