RedHawks Extend Unbeaten Streak to Four With Road Draw

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Miami University soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against Bowling Green State University during a Sunday away match. The RedHawks move to 7-5-1 (4-2-1 MAC) with the result in their only game of the week and extend their unbeaten streak to four matches. Bowling Green remains undefeated in conference play (7-1-6 overall, 2-0-5 MAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miami broke the scoreless tie in the 37th minute after an incredible set-up play by Shae Taylor that was then headed in by Morhéa Hoefen.
- The RedHawks almost scored again in the 43rd minute from a shot off the right foot of Caroline Palmer that just went over the crossbar.
- Bowling Green tied the game from the spot, off of a handball in the box, converted by Emme Butera in the 82nd minute.
NOTES
- Taylor got her first assist and point as a RedHawk.
- Hoefen scored her second goal of the season and the third of her career.
- The RedHawks have scored first in every game they have tallied a goal this season (nine in all).
- BGSU's successful penalty kick ended a stretch of more than 362 consecutive minutes for Miami without allowing a goal.
