OXFORD, Ohio – Rock Entertainment Sports Network, a joint venture between Rock Entertainment Group and Gray Media, will begin broadcasting Miami Hockey home games from Steve "Coach" Cady Arena this week on television.
Each of the RedHawks' eight remaining home games during the 2024-25 season will air on RESN, with several scheduled to be carried live and others set for delayed re-air coverage.
Longtime play-by-play announcer Greg Waddell and color analyst Drew Davis will have the call, with their broadcasts also continuing to be available on NCHC.tv for subscribers to stream.
"Our agreement with RESN will bring increased exposure and opportunity for sharing exciting action from Cady Arena with sports fans around Ohio, in addition to our existing subscription options through the NCHC," said Brad Okel, Miami Athletics' Assistant VP of Development/Associate AD of Revenue Generation. "We are excited to bring this partnership to life and provide a new opportunity for fans to connect with Miami Hockey."
"I'm excited to have the RedHawks join the growing RESN lineup, and I can't wait to share the games across Ohio," said David Hughes, vice president and general manager of WOIO and WUAB. "The addition of the RedHawks highlights RESN's goal to showcase more and more local Ohio teams across the state."
RESN is available over the air in Cincinnati on channel 19.3, Cleveland on channel 22.1, and Columbus on channel 17.1. It is also carried on Spectrum cable across Northeast Ohio on channel 979. The network is known for providing 24/7 access to Ohio local sports, including Cleveland Monsters hockey, Cleveland Charge basketball, Lake Erie Crushers baseball, Columbus Fury volleyball, college football, high school games and more.
