Softball Announces 7 Additions to 2026 Roster

OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University softball team announced seven new additions to the softball program for next season. Joining Miami are Evey Dieudonne, Mia Estrello, Mia Fleming, Molly Herman, Leila Mathis, Jeneva Mitchell and Daina Muñoz.
Evey Dieudonne, OF, 5-5, R/R, Pearland, Texas (Glenda Dawson)
High School:
"Evey Dieudonne is the complete package—an incredibly well-rounded player with a cannon for an arm in the outfield. Offensively, she has the ability to spray the ball all over the field, and defensively, she's a constant presence, tracking down balls with ease. Coming from a family of Division 1 athletes, Evey has a deep understanding of what it takes to excel at this level. Her attitude, work ethic, and coachability make her a perfect fit for any team. With her bubbly personality and relentless drive, expect her to develop into an elite outfielder who will contribute to the success of the team both on and off the field," Coach Mandy Gardner-Colegate said.
Mia Estrello, INF, 5-6, R/R, Richwood, Tx./Brazoswood
High School:
"Mia Estrello is the definition of a true utility player—I've seen her excel all over the infield and outfield, and her ability to adjust to any position speaks volumes about her athleticism," Gardner-Colegate said. "She's the ultimate competitor, with an unwavering drive to be the best. Having faced top-tier competition for years while playing up in age divisions, she's proven time and again that she can handle the toughest challenges. Mia is a tough out at the plate, making adjustments pitch to pitch and consistently putting the ball in play, always finding ways to contribute to her team's success."
Mia Fleming, UTL/C, 5-4, R/R, Carmel, Ind./Carmel
High School:
"Mia Fleming's love for Miami is as undeniable as her passion for the game," Gardner-Colegate said. "Whether she's holding it down in the infield, catching behind the plate, or stepping up with power at the plate, she brings a versatility that adds depth to any lineup. Her enthusiasm for softball is contagious, and we can't wait for her to bring that energy to the bullpen, helping our pitchers elevate their game. With Mia, it's clear—her heart is as big as her talent, and it shines through every time she steps on the field."
Molly Herman, INF/UTL, 5-8, L/R, Tucson, Ariz./Canyon del Oro
High School:
"Molly Herman is the ultimate utility player, bringing versatility to both the infield and outfield with her strong arm and reliable glove," Gardner-Colegate said. "At the plate, she's a dynamic threat—able to soft slap, power slap, or hit away from the left side, making her a great addition to our lineup. With an impeccable eye and the ability to avoid strikeouts, she consistently puts the ball in play. Add in her above-average speed, and Molly is going to help us run the bases aggressively, creating pressure and making things happen all over the field."
Leila Mathis, INF, 5-10, R/R, Monroe, Ga. (George Walton)
High School:
"Leila Mathis is a true athlete whose versatility and drive set her apart. She's a dynamic presence on the field, and her versatility in the infield and ability to hit for both average and power will make her an invaluable asset to our team. Her experience on one of the top travel ball teams in the country has prepared her to face the toughest competition, and she thrives in that environment. Coming from an athletic family that knows what it takes to succeed, Leila's work ethic is unmatched. We believe her potential is limitless, and we're excited to see the big things ahead for her," Gardner-Colegate said.
Jeneva Mitchell, OF, 5-5, L/R, Knoxville, Tenn./Web School

"Jeneva Mitchell's speed is a game-changer," Gardner-Colegate said. "She will be a constant threat on the bases that will keep the opposition on edge. We're excited to see her create chaos and put pressure on the defense every time she is on the bases. With her coachable attitude and passion for the game, we have no doubt she'll grow into a strong outfielder, elite slapper, and continue to elevate her play as a well-rounded softball player. She's a dynamic talent, and we're excited to watch her athleticism unfold."
Daina Muñoz, INF, 5-4, R/R, La Puente, Calif./St. Paul
High School:
"Daina Munoz is poised to be a dynamic hitter for us, with a perfect blend of gap-to-gap ability and power that will make an impact at the plate," Gardner-Colegate said. "Her glove work in the infield is equally impressive, and we have no doubt that she'll continue to excel on both sides of the game. Playing with one of the top travel ball organizations in the country, Daina faces tough competition every weekend, and it has only sharpened her skills. She's gritty, tough, and never satisfied—always giving 100% in everything she does. Daina will be a spark of energy for our team, and we expect big things from her in the future as a RedHawk."
