The Chippewas began to pull away at 11-6 before Lydia Michelin recorded back-to-back kills to bring the RedHawks within three at 12-9. Central Michigan went on to stretch its lead to 17-10. The Red and White responded with a 6-1 run to put the score at 18-16. Despite the late offensive push from the RedHawks, Central Michigan finished out the set 25-18.
  • Central Michigan got off to a hot start in the second set, jumping ahead 9-3. A collection of kills from Miami, as well as a block from Gentry Warrick and Lantz, brought the RedHawks within three at 17-14. The RedHawks trailed 22-18 as the end of the set approached, but the effort wasn't enough, as the Chippewas won the second set 25-18.
  • The third set began with close play, as the score was even at four apiece. The Red and White scored five straight points to take its largest lead of the night at 9-4. A pair of blocks helped spark the run for the RedHawks. Central Michigan tied the score at 11-11 halfway through the set. The Chippewas looked to close out Miami at 19-13, but Miami had different intentions, coming back within three after Ellie Hanson recorded a service ace to put the score at 19-16. Central Michigan ended the match by taking a 25-19 victory in the third set.
