OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University men's basketball unveiled the 2024-25 schedule Monday morning. The RedHawks will host seven non-conference opponents and hit the road for six non-conference games. The Red and White will play an 18-game Mid-American Conference (MAC) slate.
"One of our core values is 'Compete at Every Moment,' so we really wanted to challenge ourselves in the non-conference to prepare us to compete for the MAC championship," said head coach Travis Steele. "We were able to get a good mixture of neutral-site games, road games in hostile environments, and challenging home games."
The RedHawks will host Wright State (Nov. 9), Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 12), Air Force (Dec. 2), Bethany College (Dec. 15), Sacred Heart (Dec. 22) and Defiance College (Dec. 30). Miami closes out non-conference play by welcoming an opponent from the Sun Belt Conference to Millett Hall (Feb. 8).
The Red and White open the season against Appalachian State (Nov. 4) on the road. Miami will also travel to take on Michigan (Nov. 18 in Ann Arbor, Mich.), Siena (Nov. 25), and either Jacksonville or Mercer (Nov. 26) as a part of the Fort Myers Tip-Off. The Red and White will make two non-conference trips in December, heading to Indiana (Dec. 6) and Vermont (Dec. 18).
Miami begins MAC play by hosting Buffalo (Jan. 4). The RedHawks then welcome Western Michigan (Jan. 11), Bowling Green (Jan. 21), Eastern Michigan (Jan. 28), Ohio (Feb. 1), Toledo (Feb. 11), Kent State (Feb. 22), Northern Illinois (Feb. 25) and Ball State (Mar. 7).
