Decisive RedHawks Sink the Norse

OXFORD, Ohio- The Miami soccer team claimed a 3-1 win against Northern Kentucky at Bobby Kramig Field Thursday night. The RedHawks are now 2-1-1 and NKU is now 0-4-0. Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Makenna Morrison opened the scoring after putting home the rebound on a penalty save by Donna Bundy in the 27th minute.Â
- Meghan Belrose evened the match in the 37th minute after she took a free kick on the edge of the 18-yard box and put it into the bottom right corner.
- Taylor Hamlett continued her flying start after she tucked in a header from Maris Jennings in the 54th minute.Â
- Kylee Beinecke doubled the Miami advantage with a goal from the penalty spot in the 78th minute after a handball call against NKU.Â
NOTES
- All three RedHawk captains scored a goal in the game.Â
- Dominique Popa made eight saves in the match.
- Hamlett had five shots and Morrison had four to lead the RedHawks.
- Miami has won four consecutive home matches dating to Oct. 15, 2023.
