RedHawks Sweep Player of the Week Awards

CLEVELAND – On Tuesday afternoon the Mid-American Conference released their Player and Pitcher of the Week. The Miami University softball team swept the awards this week. Reagan Bartholomew earned Player of the Week and Madilyn Reeves earned Pitcher of the Week.
In the doubleheader against Bowling Green on Tuesday Bartholomew led the team offensively. On the week she boasts a .800 batting average and 2.800 slugging percentage. The sophomore went 4-for-5 (2-for-3 in game one and 2-for-2 in game 2) with a double and three home runs, racking up six RBI and four runs. In game one of the doubleheader it was Bartholomew's three-run home run that walked it off in the sixth inning for the RedHawks to get their 10-0 shutout win.
Reeves got the shutout win in game one to get the doubleheader started off. She did not allow a single hit and gave up only three free passes. The freshman did not allow a single run to cross the plate. The freshman struck out three batters in the game. On the week she led RedHawk pitchers in all stats, including an impressive .000 opponent batting average.
