HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 13:04 1st (Miami 1-0) | The RedHawks got on the board first with a nifty passing sequence that led to a power-play goal. Waldron started the play by eluding a pair of Pioneers in the Miami defensive zone and quickly pushed the puck ahead to Barbolini. After Waldron got it back and found Vitolins in the middle of the zone, Vitolins hit a cutting Barbolini for the easy finish.
- 18:31 1st (Denver 1-1) | Denver answered back with a power-play goal late in the period, as Jack Devine sent a pass the width of the crease to Shai Buium and Buium relayed it right back across for a Wright tap-in near the far post.
- 10:33 2nd (Denver 2-1) | The Pioneers took a 2-1 lead at the midway point of the game as Alex Weiermair poked the puck free along the boards and worked it forward to start a quick 2-on-1 for Sam Harris. Harris kept the puck and fired a shot to put the home team on top. Sean Behrens was credited with the secondary assist.
- 10:27 3rd (Denver 3-1) | Wright doubled the Pios' lead, knocking home a backdoor feed from Zeev Buium. Rieger Lorenz added an assist on the play.
- 12:14 3rd (Miami 3-2) | Miami began its comeback with a power-play goal by Vitolins, as the junior center redirected a long-range shot from Rihards Simanovičs. Waldron picked up his second assist of the night on the play.
- 17:03 3rd (Miami 3-3) | After Spencer Cox took a point-to-point pass from Robby Drazner and fired a long shot from the blue line, Barbolini battled for the puck in front and tipped home the equalizer with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.
