TOLEDO, Ohio – The Miami University women's basketball team had its two-game win streak snapped on Wednesday evening, falling 68-36 to the University of Toledo inside Savage Arena. Miami falls to 6-18 overall and 4-9 in MAC play, while the Rockets improve to 20-4, 12-1 MAC.
How it Happened:
- Four different RedHawks scored in the first five minutes of the contest as Miami led 10-5 at the first media timeout. Toledo closed the quarter on a 9-2 run and led 14-12 after 10 minutes of play.
- Toledo's run continued into the second as the Rockets scored the first 13 points of the quarter for a 27-12 advantage. An Amber Tretter layup ended the UT run, but the Rockets led 32-16 at the half.
- The Rockets outscored Miami 17-7 in the third quarter and 19-13 in the fourth for the victory.
Game Notes:
Cori Lard finished with 11 points, her sixth-straight double-digit performance.
Núria Jurjo recorded a career-best 10 rebounds.
