Columbia, SC —Miami fell to #25 South Carolina Saturday by a score of 11-4 after big second and fifth innings for the Gamecocks. Miami's comeback effort was highlighted by a three-run eighth inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anthony Zarlingo walked to start the second inning and advanced to second on a groundout. A fielding error then allowed Zarlingo to score and put the Redhawks in front 1-0.
- South Carolina put up four runs in the second inning to take the lead, as well as one in the third and five in the fifth.
- Ryland Zaborowski started the eighth inning with a walk and David Novak was hit by a pitch. Tré Keels followed with an RBI double to boost the RedHawks' score to two.
- Evan Appelwick hit an RBI single, sending Novak home.
- Keels came in to score for Miami during a double play, bringing the score to 10-4.
- South Carolina scored the game's final run in the bottom of the eighth.

- Keels and Appelwick each had an RBI.
- David Novak went one for four with one run.
