RedHawks Fall Short at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Miami University men's basketball team went back-and-forth with Indiana Friday night, keeping it close for most of the game before dropping 76-57. Luke Skaljac led the RedHawks (5-3) in scoring with a career-high 14 points, while Eian Elmer added 11. Malik Reneau had a game-high 19 points for the Hoosiers (7-2).

How it Happened:
- Indiana opened the game with an 8-0 lead. With three minutes of play down, Elmer smacked a left corner three to trail 8-3. Peter Suder recorded a traditional three-point play after making a layup and foul shot. The following possession, Skaljac walked into a triple to cut the deficit to 14-9. A midrange jump shot from Elmer and a floater off the glass from Kam Craft kept Miami within 10 points at 25-15.
- A pair of triples from Evan Ipsaro and Reece Potter brought Miami within four points at 25-21. The Hoosiers followed this up by stretching their lead to 33-21. The Red and White immediately answered with an 8-0 run to come back within four at 33-29. Elmer put in his third three of the half, and Skaljac scored on back-to-back possessions to enter halftime trailing 39-36.
- The Hoosiers scored the first five points of the second half. Suder and Craft responded by each hitting a three to shrink Indiana's advantage to 46-42. A layup and three from Skaljac kept it close at 55-50 with 10 minutes to play. The Red and White would come no closer, falling 76-57.

- The RedHawks scored 20 points off turnovers.
- Miami had less than 10 turnovers for the second time this season.
