Gonzalez Earns Second MAC Player of the Week Honor

CLEVELAND, Ohio – For the second time this season, Enjulina Gonzalez has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week.
Gonzalez averaged 22.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, helping the RedHawks to a 2-1 record. She connected on 24-of-50 (48%) field goals and was 9-of-16 (56.3%) from long range for the week. She had 18 points and five rebounds against Purdue, 19 points and three assists in a win over George Washington and posted 29 points and four rebounds in a win against Florida International. She was named to the All-Tournament Team after her contests versus GW and FIU.
Gonzalez and the RedHawks begin conference play by hosting Ball State on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Opening tip is slated for 1 p.m. in Millett Hall.
