RedHawks Prepare for Trip to Fort Myers Tip-Off

MONDAY: The RedHawks travel to the Fort Myers Tip-Off, which will be held Nov. 25-27 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Fla. In the Palms Division, Miami University will take on Siena at 11 a.m. on Nov. 25, followed by Jacksonville facing Mercer at 1:30 p.m. The teams will return to the court on Nov. 26 with the third-place game taking place at 11 a.m. and the championship game being held at 1:30 p.m.

ROAD TO 100 WINS: Head coach Travis Steele continues his climb to 100 wins, as he currently has 99 victories throughout the entirety of his career.

THE SERIES WITH THE SAINTS: Monday will mark the first time that Miami and Siena have faced off.

ABOUT SIENA: Siena is coming off of a 4-28 (3-17 conference) season in 2023-24. Head coach Gerry McNamara begins his first season with the Saints. Heading into the 2024-25 season, Siena was selected to finish ninth overall in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Siena is currently 3-2, as the Saints most recently fell to Xavier 55-80 in their Fort Myers Tip-Off On-Campus game this past Wednesday night. Justice Shoats leads the team in points per game (16.6), assists per game (4.2) and steals per game (2.4). Guard Marcus Jackson currently leads the team with 6.4 rebounds per game. Center Peter Carey has the most blocks per game (2.4).

UP NEXT: The RedHawks return home to take on the Air Force Falcons on Monday, Dec. 2.

MAC LEADERS: So far this season, Miami ranks among conference leaders in multiple statistical categories:

Kam Craft ranks fourth in the MAC (126th in nation) with 17.5 points per game and has knocked down 3.50 threes per game (second in MAC/33rd in country)
Mekhi Cooper is third overall in the MAC for his assist/turnover ratio (2.40) and stands at fourth in the conference (86th in nation) with 2.25 steals per game
Eian Elmer is 10th in the MAC for his scoring (14.8), ninth in blocked shots per game (1.00) and fifth in steals per game (2.00)
Luke Skaljac is tied for first in the MAC with an .800 three-point field goal percentage
Antwone Woolfolk is fourth overall in the MAC with a .571 field goal percentage and second in conference play for his offensive rebounding each game (3.00)
