RedHawks Prepare for Trip to Fort Myers Tip-Off

MONDAY: The RedHawks travel to the Fort Myers Tip-Off, which will be held Nov. 25-27 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Fla. In the Palms Division, Miami University will take on Siena at 11 a.m. on Nov. 25, followed by Jacksonville facing Mercer at 1:30 p.m. The teams will return to the court on Nov. 26 with the third-place game taking place at 11 a.m. and the championship game being held at 1:30 p.m.Â
ROAD TO 100 WINS: Head coach Travis Steele continues his climb to 100 wins, as he currently has 99 victories throughout the entirety of his career.
THE SERIES WITH THE SAINTS: Monday will mark the first time that Miami and Siena have faced off.
ABOUT SIENA: Siena is coming off of a 4-28 (3-17 conference) season in 2023-24. Head coach Gerry McNamara begins his first season with the Saints. Heading into the 2024-25 season, Siena was selected to finish ninth overall in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.Â
Siena is currently 3-2, as the Saints most recently fell to Xavier 55-80 in their Fort Myers Tip-Off On-Campus game this past Wednesday night. Justice Shoats leads the team in points per game (16.6), assists per game (4.2) and steals per game (2.4). Guard Marcus Jackson currently leads the team with 6.4 rebounds per game. Center Peter Carey has the most blocks per game (2.4).Â
