Miami Set to Host Minnesota Duluth This Weekend

NCHC action returns to Steve "Coach" Cady Arena this weekend as Miami Hockey hosts Minnesota Duluth in a two-game series. The RedHawks come in at 3-7-2 (0-2-0 NCHC) after a pair of losses at then-No. 12 St. Cloud State, including an overtime result Friday that earned Miami a point in the conference standings. UMD is 3-6-0 (0-2-0 NCHC) and dropped two home games to then-No. 10 North Dakota last weekend to begin league play.

This week's games are set for Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 in Oxford, with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m. both nights. The games will stream on NCHC.tv, with radio coverage airing on WKBV 1490 AM (Richmond, Ind.). Greg Waddell (play-by-play) and Drew Davis (analyst) will have the call.

Matt Choupani (5-5-10) and Colby Ambrosio (3-7-10) share the point lead for the RedHawks with 10 apiece. Choupani tops the Red and White in goals, while Ambrosio leads the team in assists, just ahead of Johnny Waldron (2-6-8). Bruno Bruveris is 2-5-1 between the pipes (2.95 GAA, .896 save %), while Ethan Dahlmeir is 1-2-1 in goal (2.37 GAA, .905 save %)

Waldron and head coach Anthony Noreen met with the media this week to preview the games against the Bulldogs.
