OXFORD, Ohio– The Miami University hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to Lindenwood Friday night at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena.

Matt Choupani scored a goal apiece for the RedHawks (2-3-2). David Gagnon led the Lions (2-3-0) with three points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- 19:25 1st (Miami 1-0) | Miami took a 1-0 lead in the last minute of the opening period. Choupani deflected the puck forward from the RedHawks' defensive zone and got loose on a breakaway the length of the ice. Although Choupani's initial shot was saved, Ambrosio was in perfect position trailing the play to scoop up the rebound and put the RedHawks on top.
- 6:02 2nd (Lindenwood 1-1) | Alexander Lundman tied the game at 1-1 in the middle period, pouncing on the rebound from Drew Kuzma's initial shot attempt and knocking it in to finish off a 3-on-2 break. Jake Southgate also earned an assist on the play.
- 4:29 3rd (Lindenwood 2-1) | Kristof Papp won a faceoff to Noah Houle, who relayed the puck to Gagnon for a one-timer. Gagnon's goal gave the Lions their first lead of the game at 2-1.
- 6:24 3rd (Lindenwood 3-1) | Gagnon scored again two minutes later to double the visitors' advantage, catching a piece of a cross-ice pass to score an unassisted shorthanded goal and make it 3-1.
- 11:06 3rd (Miami 3-2) | On the power play, Choupani scored off his own rebound to cut the lead to 3-2. Christophe Fillion got the puck to Choupani for the goal and Johnny Waldron got the play started.
- 12:20 3rd (Lindenwood 4-2) | Papp redirected a Southgate shot out of the air and past Bruno Bruveris just over a minute later for the game's final goal. Gagnon also earned an assist on the play.
