RedHawks Set for Home-and-Home Series with Robert Morris

Miami Hockey takes on Robert Morris this week in a home-and-home series. The RedHawks come in at 2-0-2 after a sweep of Alaska Anchorage for coach Anthony Noreen's first wins with the program. Miami is unbeaten after four games for the first time since 2012. This is the season opener for RMU (11-25-3, 7-17-2 AHA last year).
The teams will meet in Oxford on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7:05 p.m. The game will air on NCHC.tv with radio coverage on WMOH 1450 AM The Ticket (Hamilton, Ohio); Greg Waddell (play-by-play) and Drew Davis (analyst) have the call. Saturday's matchup at Clearview Arena in Moon Township, Pa. begins at 7 p.m., to be broadcast on FloHockey. Waddell's broadcast will stream on MiamiRedHawks.com that night.
The RedHawks lead the all-time series 4-3, but the Colonials have won the last three meetings. Miami is looking for its first victory over RMU since 2007.
Colby Ambrosio leads the RedHawks with seven points (2-5-7) through four games, including a team-high five assists. Matt Choupani and Casper Nassen also share the team lead in goals with two apiece. Ambrosio, Choupani, Nassen, Conner Hutchison, Johnny Waldron and Raimonds Vitolins are all averaging at least one point per appearance. Sophomore goaltender Bruno Bruveris has started three of Miami's four games in net, posting a 1.95 GAA and .933 save percentage.
Noreen and Ambrosio met with the media this week to preview the games against the Colonials.
