
RedHawks Down Bellarmine, 4-1; Puzo Captures 150th Career Win

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first quarter weighed heavily in Miami's offensive favor with four penalty corners and five shots, but despite this the quarter ended 0-0.
- Under five minutes into the second quarter Katherine Groff scored her first goal of the season with an assist from Carlie Servis to give the RedHawks a 1-0 lead.
- With under two minutes remaining in the first half, Bellarmine scored on a penalty corner to tie the game at 1-1 heading into halftime.
- Just over four minutes into the second half, Servis scored off an assist from Paula Peña Martinez to give the RedHawks their lead back at 2-1.
- The RedHawks held their lead through the end of the third.
- On a penalty corner less than two minutes into the final quarter Claudia Negrete Garcia scored to make it a 3-1 game. She was assisted by Servis and Berta Mata.
- On another penalty corner two and a half minutes into the quarter Hadley Evans scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Negrete Garcia to put Miami up 4-1.
- The RedHawks held this 4-1 lead through the conclusion of the game to give Coach Puzo his 150th career win.
UP NEXT: The RedHawks will take on No. 6 University of Virginia tomorrow, Oct. 1 at 12 p.m. in Oxford, Ohio.
