OXFORD, Ohio – Miami was defeated by the 11th ranked UMass Minutewomen Sunday in a 3-1 contest. Miami falls to 6-3 with the loss while UMass improves to 9-1 with the victory.

- The Minutewomen capitalized on a penalty stroke in the second to make it a 2-0 game.
- The RedHawks earned a penalty stroke and four penalty corners in the third, but the UMass defenders kept the RedHawks scoreless.
- Miami pulled within one goal with seven minutes left in the game as Clara Bertolot scored her first career goal.
- UMass answered with a late goal on a penalty corner to secure their 3-1 victory.
