Miami Tied for Third at MAC Championship

ATHENS, Ala. — Miami is tied for third place after the second round of the 2023 MAC men's championship at Canebrake Golf Club in Athens, Alabama. Jack Ebner led the scoreboard for the RedHawks during day two, shooting two below par and moving up eight places into eighth place individually.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Ebner's second-round score of 70 was highlighted by four birdies and 12 pars. He is just three strokes away from the current first-place golfer.
  • Danny Fisher is tied for third overall after shooting one below par for the second consecutive round. Fisher made 16 pars during round two and one eagle on hole seven, a par five. After making one bogey on hole two, Fisher made par or eagle on the 16 consecutive remaining holes. He is one stroke back from first place individually.
  • Sam West made an eagle on the final hole, a par five, to finish three above par in round two and tie for 17th place individually.
  • Brett Podobinski shot three above par during round two, which included two birdies.
  • Miami's team score for round two was 291, which is three above par. The RedHawks are at eight above par through two rounds. Miami leads the field on par fives with an overall score of 16 below par.
