MACTIER, Ontario— The RedHawks ended day two of the Canadian Collegiate Invitational with a team score of 285, bringing their total score to 573, or three under par. Monday's results lifted Miami one place on the team leaderboard and into fifth place, with three RedHawks shooting under par today (
Liam Nelson,
Tyler Anderson, and
Michael Weber). Notre Dame leads the field at 25 under par heading into day three.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Anderson (68-71=139) shot one under par with 6 birdies, including one on the 18th hole to finish up day two. He heads into day three at five under par, putting him in ninth place overall.
- Nelson (72-70=142) shot two under par today, with a bogey-free back nine that featured an eagle on the 13th hole. He heads into day three in 17th place, jumping four places on the leaderboard.
- Cameron Pero (74-73=147) shot one over par today, with a singular bogey on the fourth hole, followed by 14 consecutive pars to finish the round. He ends day two in 35th place.
- Brett Podobinski (74-74=148) shot two over par today, putting him in 41st place heading into the final round tomorrow. Podobinski finished with an impressive eagle on the 18th hole, a 537-yard par-5.
- Weber (79-71=150) was one under par, including a bogey-free back nine. His performance today brings him up six places on the leaderboard into 46th place heading into the final day of competition.
