YPSILANTI, Mich.— The Miami University baseball team dropped game three against Eastern Michigan with a final score of 8-1 Sunday. The RedHawks' season record moves to 9-24 (6-9 MAC). The Eagles are now 13-15 (5-10 MAC).
The RedHawks got on the board quickly, scoring one run in the first inning. The Eagles broke it open with a six-run inning in the fourth to take the lead for good.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Starting off the game with a bang, Brian Zapp led off with a triple to center field. Cooper Weiss grounded out to the shortstop, but Zapp scored to put the RedHawks on the board first, making it 1-0 RedHawks after one inning of work.

The Eagles tied it up in the second inning, capitalizing on walks.

EMU had an offensive explosion in the fourth inning, scoring six times en route to a 7-1 lead.

EMU tacked on one final run in the fifth to make the final score 8-1 Eagles.
