Miami in Sixth After Wofford Invitational Day One

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Miami University golf team is in sixth place after two rounds of the Wofford Invitational. Jack Ebner, Brett Podobinski, and Sam West were the squad's top performers, each shooting one below par over the two rounds and tying for 15th place individually.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Ebner shot one below par in round one and was even with par in round two. His day included seven total birdies.
  • Podobinski's day was highlighted by seven birdies in round one, where he shot two below par.
  • West was the only RedHawk to shoot an eagle during the first two rounds. The eagle came during round one on hole five, a par five.
  • Danny Fisher finished one above par in each round for a two-day score of two above par. He is tied for 15th overall.
  • Michael Weber shot two and four above par in rounds one and two, respectively, finishing day one at six over par.
  • Miami's team score for the first two rounds was 567, which is one below par. They are just one stroke behind fifth place and three behind fourth.
 
UP NEXT:
The tournament's third and final round will take place Tuesday, April 4 at the Country Club of Spartanburg course. Tee times will begin at 9 a.m.
