Miami University Introduces Cradle of Coaches Merchandise Collection

Miami University, in collaboration with its exclusive trademark licensing agency, CLC, announces the launch of its Cradle of Coaches merchandise collection celebrating the university's legacy of producing sports coaches at the highest levels. The collection is available starting today in advance of the induction and unveiling of the new statue of Sean McVay in Yager Stadium's Cradle of Coaches Plaza on May 6.

McVay '08 led the Los Angeles Rams to a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI in 2022, becoming the youngest (36) head coach in the history of the National Football League to capture a Super Bowl Championship. McVay played wide receiver for the RedHawks from 2004-2007, earning Miami's Scholar-Athlete Award his senior season.

Miami earned the reputation as the Cradle of Coaches from its impressive list of over 100 graduates who have worked as coaches or administrative leadership in the collegiate and pro levels. In 1971, Miami established the Cradle of Coaches Association to further recognize coaching achievements with Inductees that include legendary coaches such as John Harbaugh, Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Ara Parseghian, Weeb Ewbank, Paul Brown, Jim Tressel, Randy Ayers, and others. While many Cradle of Coaches inductees are football coaches, several other sports are also represented.

Cradle of Coaches merchandise features a specially designed logo that pays homage to the famed Miami nickname. The specially curated collection includes apparel and non-apparel products from top collegiate licensees Hanesbrands, Horned Legend, L2, LOGO Brands, and Spirit Products.

"We are honored to assist Miami Athletics and the university's trademark licensing program in developing the Cradle of Coaches Collection to help connect fans to the legacy of coaches who have helped elevate the Miami brand," said Nicole Armentrout, SVP of Marketing at CLC. "Our creative and marketing teams are proud to support Miami's commitment to delivering top quality merchandise to RedHawk fans,"

The Cradle of Coaches collection is available at the miamiredhawks.com fan shop and Brick and Ivy Campus Store. To learn more about the Cradle of Coaches, click HERE.
