Six Home Runs Give RedHawks a Pair of Wins Over Akron

OXFORD, Ohio – The RedHawks secured their first game victory over the University of Akron in the first inning after grabbing three runs. They would be the only runs put up in that game, as Brianna Pratt secured the 3-0 shutout. In game two, Laurelai DePew got the win after pitching 7.0 innings in the 9-3 victory. The pair of wins brings the RedHawks to 26-16 on the season and 13-6 in Mid-American Conference competition. The Zips fall to to 25-19 on the season and 13-9 in the MAC.
