Blaska Earns MAC Player of the Week Honor

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday afternoon Holly Blaska of the Miami University softball team was awarded the Mid-American Conference honor of MAC Player of the Week. This is after Blaska had a stellar week batting for the RedHawks, including a grand slam against the University of Louisville.

Blaska has proved to be a force at the plate this year but this past week she went all out. She batted .600 after six games and her slugging percentage was an impressive .900. She scored seven runs for the RedHawks over the course of the week and was responsible for eight RBI. She went 7-for-11 in Miami's series sweep over Bowling Green, including one game where she went 3-for-4. She went 3-for-3 against Louisville and 5-for-9 overall in the Miami Invitational. The senior led the RedHawks in hits and doubles this week.

Blaska and the rest of the RedHawks will return to the field on April 21 at 5 p.m. in Oxford, Ohio to take on the University of Akron.
