BATAVIA, Ohio — Three individuals from Miami University's golf team competed at the Jewell Invitational hosted by Northern Kentucky University and tied for 17th, 20th, and 30th out of 84 individuals.
Cameron Pero was the top finisher for Miami, shooting four strokes above par through three rounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Cameron Pero (69-72-76–217) shot two below par in round one after making five first round birdies. He tied for 17th overall.
- Sam Mortell (72-73-73–218) finished five above par through three rounds, tying for 20th place overall. He beat his season best single-round score of 74 in every round.
- Scott Bitar (71-79-71–221) tied for 30th place and shot eight above par overall. Bitar was even with par in the first and third rounds and made four birdies in both of them.
