ABOUT BOWLING GREEN: Bowling Green holds a 16-12 (10-7 MAC) record, after most recently topping Buffalo in a pair of matches last week. At the head of the program is Danijela Tomic who is coming off of a 22-10 (15-3 MAC) season in 2022 and won the fourth MAC volleyball title in program history. Lauryn Hovey currently leads the Bowling Green attack with 3.84 kills per set (415 total kills) and Jaden Walz is leading all Falcons with 7.74 assists per set (813 total assists). Defensively, Alex Laboy has averaged a team-high 3.52 digs per set (348 total digs). Jessica Andrews (0.90 per set) and Alexis Mattille (0.88 per set) lead Bowling Green in blocks per set. Various Falcons rank among top MAC statistical leaders. Hovey finds herself at first in points, fourth in kills and fifth in service aces. Mettille is ranked sixth in blocks and Andrews is fifth in blocks. Walz sits at ninth in assists overall.
OPPONENT HISTORY: Miami and Bowling Green first clashed in 1976. This Tuesday will mark the 93rd meeting between the two teams. The RedHawks are 52-40 all-time against the Falcons. Miami holds a 22-16 home record, 19-21 away record and a 11-3 neutral record when facing Bowling Green. The last time the Red and White defeated Bowling Green was on Oct. 10, 2019 in a 3-0 match.

RETIREMENT: Miami University volleyball coach Carolyn Condit has announced that she will retire after the 2023 season. Condit, who is in her 40th season leading the RedHawks' program and 44th season as a college head coach, has amassed 781 career wins in her legendary career. She is the longest-tenured current Division I head coach in the nation, and holds a 682-553 record at Miami since taking over the program in 1984. Condit has compiled more career wins than any coach in any sport in the history of Miami Athletics. Condit's Miami teams have captured nine regular-season MAC championships and made 13 postseason tournament appearances, including advancing to the NCAA Tournament in 1990, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2007, 2008, 2017 and 2018. 500 CLUB: This season, sophomore Ellie Hanson reached career milestones in both kills and digs. Hanson recently surpassed 500 kills and 500 digs. Senior Maggie McCrary also reached 500 career kills this season.
MAC LEADER: One RedHawk ranks among MAC statistical leaders. Sophomore Gentry Warrick has flashed on the defensive end for the RedHawks, as she ranks third in blocks per set (0.98). This season, Warrick totaled a career-high 8 blocks against Purdue Fort Wayne. Warrick also currently sits at eighth in hitting percentage (.308). She has recorded 151 total kills in 98 sets played.
YOUTH MOVEMENT: This season sophomore Ellie Hanson has led the offensive charge, as she holds a team best 338.5 total points (301 kills total). She also ranks first on the team in digs (294) and service aces (31). In the first three weeks of play, Hanson made the all-tournament team in the Tiger Brawl, Miami Invitational and Redbird Classic. Sophomore Hayden Hicks notched a career-high 60 assists against Akron and was named to the all-tournament in the Tiger Brawl. She has been a key facilitator for Miami, as she ranks first on the team in assists per set (7.02). Freshman Chelsea Williams is second on the team with 2.60 kills per set (209 kills total). She was named to the all-tournament team in the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational.
HICKS EARNS 1,000TH CAREER ASSIST: Hayden Hicks handed out the 1,000th assist of her career in Miami Volleyball's match against Ball State. Hicks finished with 24 assists and added seven digs against the Cardinals. The sophomore setter from Frisco, Texas now owns a total of 1,294 assists as a RedHawk.

ECLIPSING 750 CAREER WINS: With a 3-0 win versus Buffalo on Jan. 22, 2021, Miami head coach Carolyn Condit posted her 750th career win. Condit owns a 781-633 career record in her 44th season as a head coach. Owning more victories than any coach in any sport in the history of Miami's storied athletic department, known as the Cradle of Coaches, Condit holds a 682-553 record and is in her 40th season in charge of the Red and White. Condit is the only volleyball coach in the history of the Mid-American Conference to win more than 300 league matches, holding a conference mark of 376-263.
