(RV/RV) Miami begins National Collegiate Hockey Conference play this week with a trip to (RV/NA) St. Cloud State. The RedHawks are 4-1-1 after an overtime win and tie vs. then-No. 13/16 Arizona State last weekend. The Red and White own a five-game unbeaten streak (longest since 2016-17) and are receiving votes in both national polls this week. SCSU (2-4-0) is receiving votes in the latest USCHO.com poll after a home split with Alaska Fairbanks, with all of the Huskies' games so far coming in the state of Minnesota.
This weekend's games are set for Friday, Nov. 3 at 8:30 p.m. ET and Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. ET in St. Cloud, Minn. The games can be streamed on NCHC.tv, with Greg Waddell's radio broadcast airing on MiamiRedHawks.com Friday and WMOH 1450 AM The Ticket (Hamilton, Ohio) Saturday.
St. Cloud State leads 30-19-6 in the all-time series, which dates back to 1987. The RedHawks earned a win and two ties in the last three meetings (when SCSU was ranked in the top five nationally) after going 1-14-0 in the previous 15 contests vs. the Huskies. Miami's last regular-season win in St. Cloud was 10 years ago (Nov. 8, 2013).
