Cummins Named 16th Best Collegiate Catcher by EIS

ExtraInningSoftball.com just announced that Allie Cummins, a member of the Miami University softball team, has been named the 16th best collegiate catcher heading into the 2023 campaign. Cummins is lone representative from the Mid-American Conference.

This past season, the West Chester, Ohio native started all 58 games for the Red and White, recording a .324 batting average, to go along with 15 home runs and 43 RBI. She earned first-team All-MAC and third-team NFCA All-Region honors in 2022.

The fifth-year senior had a team-high 34 walks, and finished second on the squad with a .429 on-base percentage last season. She added 13 doubles and was a perfect 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts. Behind the plate she committed just three errors all season, finishing with a .988 fielding percentage and threw out 8-of-24 stolen base attempts.

Cummins enters the year with a .368 batting average, 35 home runs, 113 RBI and 86 career walks.
