OXFORD, Ohio – On Thursday afternoon, the Miami University's women's soccer team (1-1-1) fell to Wright State University's women's soccer team (2-1-0) at Bobby Kramig Field by a score of 1-0.

The RedHawks will begin a stretch of three consecutive road games with a visit to Purdue on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 1 p.m.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At 3:58, all eyes were on junior Camber Hayes, who assisted the only goal against Loyola University Chicago from a corner kick, during a left-sided corner. However, Wright State's goalkeeper claimed the delivery.
- Just past the 29-minute mark, sophomore Sophia Cross made a pass to senior Jaimie Tottleben to shoot from inside the penalty area, but her shot was saved.
- Over three minutes into the second half, a Wright State corner led to a goal for the Raiders' Kaylin Helinski, making it 1-0 for the visitors.
- Around the 60-minute mark, sophomore Kylee Beinecke crossed into the box from the right side of the pitch but freshman Caroline Palmer couldn't quite reach the pass.
NOTES:
- Palmer made her third consecutive start for the RedHawks.
- Each team collected one yellow card during the game.
- Senior Izzie Vaccari made three saves for Miami.
