CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Miami University baseball team dropped a 6-2 decision in the series finale at the University of Illinois Sunday afternoon. The RedHawks drop to 19-29 while the Illini improve to 26-19.
The RedHawks took an early 2-0 lead before the Illini responded with five runs in the fourth to go on top.
David Novak and
Cole Andrews drove in a run each in the first and third inning respectively for Miami, while
Luke Leverton threw three scoreless innings out of the bullpen.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the top of the first, Benji Brokemond led off with a single, followed by a Zach MacDonald walk. Novak then singled, driving in Brokemond, putting the RedHawks up 1-0.
- In the top of the third, leading 1-0, MacDonald led off with a single. Andrews then doubled to left-center field, putting the 'Hawks up by two.

           The RedHawks travel to Akron for a four-game set starting Friday, May 13. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday.
