After an off weekend, the Miami hockey team returns to action Friday and Saturday when No. 18 Omaha comes to Oxford for a two-game series. The RedHawks dropped a pair of games to then-No. 5 Denver last time out, earning a point in the conference standings with an overtime defeat on Jan. 28. The Mavericks have split each of their last three weekend series (vs. Minnesota Duluth, at Colorado College, and at North Dakota).
Friday's game will be televised on CBS Sports Network and starts at 7 p.m. Saturday's game will be available on NCHC.tv, with puck drop at 7:05 p.m. Friday's contest will air on WKBV 1490 AM (Richmond, Ind.) and Saturday's series finale will be available on WMOH 1450 AM The Ticket (Hamilton, Ohio), with Greg Waddell and Drew Davis on the call.
Miami enters the weekend at 4-20-2 (1-14-1 NCHC), while Omaha is 17-11-0 (7-9-0 NCHC).
Head coach Chris Bergeron and senior forward Scott Corbett met with the media this week to preview the Omaha series.
