BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Peyton Scott had 19 points and
Edyn Battle added 18 as the Miami University women's basketball team (8-15, 4-10 MAC) dropped a 94-61 decision to Bowling Green on Monday night at the Stroh Center. Nyla Hampton had 16 points for the Falcons (12-10, 7-6 MAC).
How it Happened:
- Miami led 10-7 with 3:30 to play in the first quarter before the Falcons ended on a 15-2 run to claim a 22-12 advantage after 10 minutes of play.
- Bowling Green's hot shooting continued into the second quarter, finishing the first half 6-of-10 from behind the arc. Tajah Foster-Walker and Scott scored the final four points of the quarter, but the Falcons led 47-28 at the half.
- Layups from Battle and Katie Davidson cut the deficit, 51-34 early in the third, but the RedHawks could get no closer. BGSU led 75-50 after three.
Game Notes:
- Battle's 18 points were two shy of matching her career best.
- After a 19 point effort, Peyton Scott is now just 12 points shy of moving into 10th all-time in Miami scoring history.
- Nine different RedHawks played at least 10 minutes on Monday night.
