OXFORD, Ohio— Peyton Scott paced four Miami starters in double figures with 24 points and the RedHawks scored a season-high 90 points in a 90-77 victory over Central Michigan Saturday afternoon.
Ivy Wolf added 18 points and a career-high eight rebounds for Miami (8-14, 4-9 MAC), while
Edyn Battle finished with 16 points and
Katie Davidson chipped in 12. Molly Davis had 24 points to lead Central Michigan (4-19, 2-12 MAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The RedHawks used an early 9-0 run to break a 9-9 tie and take the lead for good, shooting 57% from the floor for the first quarter. Miami led 27-16 after 10 minutes.
- Miami continued its hot shooting in the second period, converting 11 of 16 field goal attempts (68.8%). The Red and White took a 54-36 lead into intermission after rattling off four different runs of seven or more unanswered points (9-0, 8-0, 10-0, 7-0) in the half.
- Miami maintained a lead of 16 points or more throughout the entire third quarter, stretching the margin to 72-51 by the end of the quarter. Scott had nine points in the quarter to help keep the visitors at bay.
- Central Michigan mounted a brief comeback attempt midway through the fourth quarter, cutting a 24-point lead in half, but the RedHawks made enough plays and hit enough free throws to keep a double-digit advantage through the final buzzer.

- Miami's previous season high for scoring was 85 points at Valparaiso in the season opener;
- The RedHawks' 54 points in the first half was the team's highest-scoring first half all season.
- Scott moved into 11th place on the program's all-time scoring list, passing Kristen Olowinski (1,311). Scott now has 1,318 career points.
- Miami recognized all-time leading scorer Lauren Dickerson (2,208 career points from 2016-2020) as part of Alumni Weekend.
- Miami out-rebounded Central Michigan 43-33.
- The RedHawks defeated CMU in Oxford for the first time since 2009.
