OXFORD, Ohio— Edyn Battle poured in a career-high 18 points and handed out a career-best five assists to help the Miami women's basketball team edge Ohio 63-60 in a thriller Monday night at Millett Hall.
Katie Davidson added season-highs of 17 points and nine rebounds for the RedHawks (5-7, 1-2 MAC), while
Peyton Scott chipped in 15 points and eight rebounds. Davidson had 14 points after intermission, with Scott scoring 13 in the second half. Cierra Hooks led Ohio (8-5, 2-2 MAC) for the game with 22 points and 10 boards.
In a back-and-forth game neither team led by more than eight points,
Ivy Wolf hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:35 to play, her only field goal of the game, to break a 56-56 deadlock and give the Red and White the lead for good. Davidson finished the scoring with a layup with four seconds to go, and the Bobcats missed a desperation three-pointer on the final possession.
