Miami Hockey Announces 2021-22 Schedule

OXFORD, Ohio – The 2020-21 NCAA hockey season may have just ended, however, the Miami University hockey team just released the RedHawks' 2021-22 schedule today, featuring 16 games at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena.
Head Coach Chris Bergeron returns for his third season at the helm of Miami hockey. In addition to a high-profile incoming freshman class, the RedHawks return All-NCHC Second Team and All-Rookie goaltender Ludvig Persson and top scorers Matt Barry and Matthew Barbolini.
The 2021-22 season kicks off on October 2 with the first of two games at Ferris State, followed by an away game at Robert Morris on October 8. The long-awaited home opener follows on October 10, when the Colonials of Robert Morris trek to Oxford for the back-end of a home-and-home series.
Miami continues non-conference play at Michigan State (October 15-16) before staying in Ohio with a home-and-home series against rival Bowling Green (October 22-23). The RedHawks travel to Omaha to open NCHC play against the Mavericks on November 5-6.
November features six home games for the RedHawks as the 2021 NCHC regular-season champion North Dakota Fighting Hawks come to Oxford on November 12-13. A weekend series at the University of Denver follows (November 19-20), and then the team returns to take on Long Island University in a non-conference clash on November 26-27. Miami bids goodbye to 2021 at home with a big two-game series against Western Michigan set for December 3-4.
January brings with it the bulk of NCHC play, beginning with a home series versus Colorado College (January 7-8) before heading on the road for two straight weekends with games at Minnesota Duluth (January 14-15) and St. Cloud State (January 21-22). The month closes out with a home matchup against Denver, set for January 28-29 at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena.
Miami has more home games in February, featuring Omaha (February 11-12) and Minnesota Duluth (February 25-26). Miami closes their regular-season schedule at Western Michigan with a two-game series scheduled in Kalamazoo for March 4-5.
Season tickets for the 2021-22 season will be on sale in early May. Miami University will continue to follow the State of Ohio and Butler County guidelines surrounding COVID-19.
