OXFORD, Ohio — Through many weather delays and extra innings, the Miami University baseball team lost 3-2 in a late-night extravaganza against the Western Michigan Broncos. With the loss, the RedHawks fall 17-12 (10-5 Mid-American Conference) while the Broncos improved to 10-11 (10-5 MAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the bottom of the sixth inning, senior Michael Morissette singled up the middle. Following a wild pitch and a walk, graduate student Will Vogelgesang singled, driving in Morissette to get Miami on the board. Redshirt freshman Nate Stone hit a sacrifice fly, scoring junior Mac Hippenhammer, giving the RedHawks a 2-1 lead.
- However, in the top of the tenth inning, the Broncos scored a run, securing a 3-2 win.
GAME NOTES:
- Sam Bachman threw six innings, allowing just one run while striking out eleven batters.

The RedHawks will play game four of their series with the Western Michigan Broncos on Sunday, April 11. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. at McKie Field in Oxford.
