
Spaid Named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week

Karli Spaid, a freshman on the Miami University softball team, was named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the week following her efforts this past weekend.

The Chicago, Ill., native went 8-of-16 (.500) for the weekend with two doubles, a triple and a pair of home runs, while recording 13 RBI in the four-game sweep of Central Michigan. Spaid's on-base percentage for the weekend was .556 and she added six stolen bases versus the Chippewas. She had at least one hit in each of the four games and had multiple RBI in each contest as well.

Spaid is hitting .383 on the year with three home runs and 17 RBI.
