FRIDAY AND SATURDAY'S MATCHES: After picking up a key five-set win against Ball State on Tuesday, Miami rides a three-match win streak into a key weekend series at Central Michigan to round out the regular season. Miami is vying for a spot in the upcoming four-team Mid-American Conference Tournament in a tight race for the final spot. The RedHawks and Chippewas square off at 6 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 26 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 27.
ABOUT CENTRAL MICHIGAN: The Chippewas enter the weekend with an 11-9 record and are also battling for a spot in the upcoming MAC Tournament. Savannah Thompson leads the team with 3.71 kps, while Hannah Warners averages 4.26 dps and Kendall Braate averages 3.66 dps. Maddi Whitfield averages 0.82 bps, while Grace Butler averages 5.51 aps and Kamryn Olson averages 4.94 aps.
THE SERIES WITH THE CHIPPEWAS: Friday marks the 62nd meeting between Miami and Central Michigan with the RedHawks holding a 36-25 lead in the series and have won the last six meetings. When playing in Mount Pleasant, Miami is 15-13. MU's last win against CMU was Oct. 20, 2019 in Oxford, 3-2, and its last win at CMU was Oct. 13, 2018, 3-1. The Chippewas' last win against the RedHawks was in Oxford on Oct. 18, 2013, 3-1, and their last win against MU in Mount Pleasant was Oct. 11, 2012, 3-1.

Abigail Huser became the 17th member of Miami's 1,000 dig club on Thursday, March 4 at Kent State. Huser needed 13 digs entering the contest and hit the mark early in the third set. She has 1,168 entering Miami's next match to rank ninth on the list.

ECLIPSING 750 CAREER WINS: With a 3-0 win versus Buffalo on Jan. 22, Miami head coach
Carolyn Condit posted her 750th career win. Condit owns a 760-564 career record in her 41st season as a head coach. Condit's 760 total victories are tied for eighth among active NCAA Division I coaches, and tied for 24th all-time. Owning more victories than any coach in the history of the Miami Athletic Department, Condit holds a 661-487 record in her 37th season in charge of the Red and White. Condit is the only volleyball coach in the history of the Mid-American Conference to win over 300 league matches, holding a conference mark of 364-216.
