OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team picked up its fourth consecutive win on Friday afternoon as the RedHawks downed Ohio University 3-0 at the Miami Field Hockey Complex. Miami established a 1-0 lead seven minutes into the contest, allowing just five shots the entire 60 minutes.
Claudia Negrete Garcia provided the RedHawks (4-0, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) two of the three goals, while Allie Grace Joyner tallied the other Miami goal on the day. Taylor Curran, Madison Workman, and Jenna Kirby all registered assists in the victory. Isabelle Perese tallied five saves in the win for her second straight shutout on the 2021 season.
The Bobcats drop to 0-1 overall and in MAC play.

- 6:19 | Jenna Kirby split a pass between two defenders to find Madison Workman, who passed the ball over to Claudia Negrete Garcia, who one-timed it in to give the RedHawks an early 1-0 lead.
- 36:37 | Off a penalty corner, Taylor Curran sniped a shot that was deflected in by Allie Grace Joyner.
- 50:47 | Curran gave a pass to an open Negrete Garcia, who recorded her second of the game and her third of the season.
