BOWLING GREEN, Ohio—The Miami University volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Bowling Green on Thursday evening, 13-25, 23-25, 21-25. The RedHawks drop to 3-2 in Mid-American Conference play, while the Falcons move to 5-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Miami took a quick 3-1 lead in the first set with help from kills by sophomore Lindsay Taylor and junior Gaby Harper. The Falcons forged ahead on an 18-2 run and never looked back, taking the first set, 25-13.
- BGSU built a 10-6 advantage in the second set, but Miami chiseled away to knot things at 12-12 off a Taylor kill. The Falcons pushed ahead by as many as four, but Miami persisted and again knotted things at 21 apiece off a Taylor kill and 23-23 off a senior Avarie Powell kill. Miami was unable to overtake the Falcons, who notched a 25-23 win in the second set.
- A service ace by senior Morgan Seaman and a pair of kills by senior Sarah Wojick handed MU a quick 3-0 lead in the third set. Miami pushed ahead, and BGSU came back to knot set at 5-5, 11-11, 12-12, 13-13 and 14-14. After a 15-15 tie, BGSU took the lead for good and went on to a 25-21 win in the third set.

NOTES:
- Senior Sarah Wojick paced the RedHawks with 11 kills and hit .450 for the match.
- Senior Abigail Huser amassed a team-leading 14 digs
- Senior Morgan Seaman tallied 19 assists, 10 digs and a service ace.
