- Ball State knotted the score at 22 apiece early in the second, but an Abbey Hoff triple from the corner followed by back-to-back layups from Scott and McLaughlin pushed Miami's lead to 29-22 midway through the second stanza.
- After Scott beat the shot clock on a pull-up three-pointer to garner a 32-22 lead, the Cardinals closed on a 6-0 run in the last two minutes of the half to send Miami to the locker room with a 32-28 advantage. Miami has now led at halftime in five-straight games.

- The Cardinals once again cut the lead to a single possession near the end of the third, but a Scott triple to end the quarter gave Miami a 52-47 advantage as the teams entered the fourth quarter.
- Just as Ball State closed to within 56-54, Katie Davidson converted a three-point play and Kenzie Schmitz drilled a three-pointer to give Miami a 64-57 with 6:49 remaining. Schmitz made her second three of the quarter and Scott added a bucket from behind the arc as Miami led 70-59 with 5:40 to play.
