WEDNESDAY'S GAME: Miami opens Mid-American Conference play when it travels to Buffalo for a 4 p.m. game on Wednesday, Dec. 29.
ABOUT BUFFALO: The Bulls enter Wednesday's game with a 6-4 record and are coming off a 65-64 loss at Canisius on Dec. 18. Jeenathan Williams leads four Bulls averaging double figures in scoring at 18.4 ppg, while adding 5.4 rpg. Josh Mballa is averaging 14.1 ppg and a team-leading 7.8 rpg.
THE SERIES WITH THE BULLS: Wednesday marks the 52nd meeting between Miami and Buffalo with the RedHawks holding a 26-25 edge in the all-time series. Buffalo won all three meetings last season, including a 74-63 decision in the MAC Tournament quarterfinals on March 11, 2021. The Bulls won the last meeting in Alumni Arena on Feb. 6, 2021, 88-64. Miami's last win in the series also was its last win in Buffalo, an 85-79 triumph on March 9, 2020.

MAC OPENERS: The RedHawks open their 75th Mid-American Conference season on Wednesday, Dec. 29 when they travel to Buffalo. Miami is 50-24 in MAC openers, however, the RedHawks have lost their last three MAC-opening games, including a 90-62 loss to Buffalo at Millett Hall on Dec. 15 last year. Miami's last win in a MAC opener was at Bowling Green on January 2, 2018, 77-72. When opening MAC play on the road, Miami is 23-15. This is the fourth time Miami has opened MAC play with Buffalo. The Bulls have won all three of the previous league-opening meetings.
BROWN BREAKS BOTH GAMES STARTED AND PLAYED CAREER RECORDS: Breaking Ron Harper's record of 118 for career starts with a start at Indiana State on Dec. 4 and Geovonie McKnight's record for career games played 126 on Dec. 14, senior forward
