RedHawks and Bearcats Set to Clash Wednesday at 7 p.m.

WEDNESDAY'S GAME: The Rivalry Returns, presented by Foster & Motley, as RedHawks return home to host the University of Cincinnati on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. Miami is coming off a 79-67 road loss at Western Illinois but is 4-0 in Millett Hall this season. It is Devin Davis Night as Miami Basketball welcomes home one of its all-time greats, and the Firecracker Jump Rope Team will perform at halftime.

ABOUT CINCINNATI: The Bearcats are off to a 5-2 start but are coming off a 61-59 loss to Monmouth Saturday and 73-67 loss to No. 12 Arkansas on Nov. 23 after a 71-51 win against No. 14 Illinois on Nov. 22. David DeJulius leads the Bearcats, averaging 12.7 ppg, while Jeremiah Davenport follows at 10.7 ppg. Ody Oguama averages a team-leading 5.1 rpg.

THE SERIES WITH THE BEARCATS: This is the 147th meeting between Miami and Cincinnati with the Bearcats holding a 94-52 lead in the all-time series, however, the teams have not met since Nov. 29, 2011. Miami's last win in the series was on Dec. 1, 1990 in Oxford, 72-64. The RedHawks are 34-32 against the Bearcats when playing in Oxford. *Miami's first official season of men's basketball was 1905-06, and there are a few other record discrepancies from early in the series.

DEVIN DAVIS NIGHT: Wednesday the RedHawks welcome home one of Miami Basketball's all-time greats and a Miami Hall of Famer, Devin Davis. He will be honored at halftime of Wednesday's game and will be available to meet with media at 6:30 p.m. in the press conference area of Millett Hall.
  • The last Miami player to don #42, Davis enjoyed an impressive four-year career with the Red and White from 1993-1997.
  • One of the most imposing and dominant players in Mid-American Conference history, Davis is one of just two in program history to earn first-team all-MAC honors three times (1995, '96, '97).
  • A fierce competitor, Davis spearheaded Miami to four postseason berths, including NCAA Tournament appearances in 1995 and 1997.
  • He joins Ron Harper and Wayne Embry as the only players to amass 1,000 career points and rebounds, ranking third all-time in each category.
  • Davis continues to rank among Miami leaders in 11 career statistical categories, owning the record for career free throws.
  • The first 1,000 students will receive Devin Davis #42 replica jerseys, and there are Devin Davis faces for the first 3,000 fans.
