Hockey Preview: Omaha

After a weekend off, the Miami hockey team gets NCHC play underway with a trip to Omaha to face the Mavericks Friday and Saturday. Omaha is ranked No. 9 in the latest USCHO.com poll and No. 7 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. MU continues a stretch of seven road games in the season's first eight contests.
Puck drop at Baxter Arena is scheduled for 8:07 p.m. ET both nights. The games will be available on NCHC.tv. Friday's contest will air on WKBV 1490 AM (Richmond, Ind.) and Saturday's series finale will be available on WMOH 1450 AM The Ticket (Hamilton, Ohio).
Miami enters the weekend at 1-4-1, while UNO comes in riding a seven-game winning streak with a 7-1 overall record.
Head coach Chris Bergeron and junior defenseman Jack Clement met with the media this week to preview the Omaha series.
