THIS WEEKEND: The RedHawks rounds out a four-match home stretch when Miami hosts Western Michigan at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 and Northern Illinois at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9.
ABOUT WMU & THE SERIES WITH THE BRONCOS: Western Michigan enters the weekend with a 12-4 overall mark and a 5-0 Mid-American Conference record. The Broncos are coming off a pair of wins against Central Michigan and a win against Northern Illinois at home last week. The RedHawks are 27-36 against the Broncos and hold a 15-14 edge when playing in Oxford. Western Michigan's last win in the series was on Feb. 29, 2021 in Millett Hall in three sets. Miami's last win against WMU was the previous night in Oxford on Feb. 18, 2021, 3-1.
ABOUT NIU & THE SERIES WITH THE HUSKIES: Northern Illinois enters the weekend with an 8-7 overall record and 2-3 MAC mark. The Huskies are coming off a 1-2 week, falling at Western Michigan last Tuesday before splitting a weekend series at home with Eastern Michigan. NIU holds a 24-23 edge in the all-time series and the teams are 9-9 when playing in Oxford. Miami won a three-set match in DeKalb on Feb. 26, 2021 in the last meeting. NIU took the previous night's match in five sets on Feb. 25, 2021. The RedHawks won the last meeting in Oxford on Sept. 30, 2018, 3-0. NIU's last win in Oxford was on Oct. 4, 2014, 3-2.

HARPER CLOSING IN ON 1,000 DIGS: With 988 career digs, senior
Gaby Harper is closing in on becoming the 18th player in program history to reach 1,000 career digs and needs just 12 more to achieve the feat. Harper also owns 869 career kills entering the weekend.
ODDS 'N ENDS:
- Sophomore Maggie McCrary leads the MAC in hitting percentage in conference matches this season. Through four matches, McCrary is hitting an impressive .460. She hit a scorching .750 in MU's Oct. 1 match against Akron, connecting on 13 of 16 attempts with just one attack error.
- Senior Gaby Harper has played in 95 career matches and is poised to eclipse the 100-match mark in the last third of the season.
- Senior Gaby Harper has produced four kill/dig double-doubles this season, the last coming at Buffalo on Sept. 25 with 13 kills and 13 digs. Senior Sophie Riemersma has three kill/dig double-doubles, the last coming against Akron on Oct. 1 with 11 kills and 12 digs.
- Freshman Brooke Cirigliano leads Miami with 40 blocks this season and has recorded at least one block in each of the RedHawks' 14 matches. She has posted 10 multi-block matches, including a six-block effort against Howard on Sept. 4.
- Miami boasts seven newcomers on its 2021 roster, comprising 41% of the MU roster.
ECLIPSING 750 CAREER WINS: With a 3-0 win versus Buffalo on Jan. 22, 2021, Miami head coach
Carolyn Condit posted her 750th career win. Condit owns a 764-578 career record entering her 42nd season as a head coach. Condit's 764 total victories are tied for eighth among active NCAA Division I coaches, and tied for 24th all-time. Owning more victories than any coach in the history of the Miami Athletic Department, Condit holds a 665-500 record and is in her 38th season in charge of the Red and White. Condit is the only volleyball coach in the history of the Mid-American Conference to win over 300 league matches, holding a conference mark of 366-220.
